your home is safe and sound. Make sure critical items like electrical
wiring, operable windows (fire escape), and decks to name a few are inspected
for safety. |
| Selling your Home-When selling a home, why not ensure that the home
is inspected up front prior to listing. By repairing problems prior to
listing, you and your realtor not only have confidence in the product you are
selling, but you've just reduced a great deal of stress and likely reduced
profit, by not going through a longer list of repairs when the buyer's
inspector does his job prior to closing. |
| Building a New Home-Many people make the mistake of believing that
because their house is new, that it is built to code and any initial problems
should be minor- after all it was inspected by the County Inspectors.
County Inspectors in many counties have not been CABO licensed, and they are
responsible for too many inspections each day to spend time on each individual
house. It's just a byproduct of all of the construction in Georgia.
Besides looking at Code items specifically, your inspectors job will be to
check that everything in your home operates satisfactorily ie. check all
plumbing for leaks and drainage problems, check all electrical wiring for
proper connections and properly sized wires and circuit breakers, etc.
You'll find it beneficial to find these problems before moving in. It's
much easier to have your builder address issues prior to closing than it is
afterwards. |
